After spending hours with the glazing putty I still have seams in the sides of the legs. After sanding everything looks great. I let it sit overnight then spray a coat of primer and it looks like crap. Cracks down the seams... I went and picked up some Bondo Body Filler. Maybe that will do the trick.
If not I guess I'll have to pick up some styrene to skin the legs... I went that route originally and had some issues....

More Parts!
Today the mailman was nice enough to drop of my C6C and my order of LEDs and resistors!
I can't believe how small this thing is!
I can't wait to order my speed controller and get R2 up and moving around.
Time to break out a soldering iron!
(then learn how to solder...)

Sound System Arrives
Got my ThinkGeek T-shirt today. It sounds decent, but I think I'll upgrade the speaker and possibly throw an amp on it. Now just have to order the 12ch RF remotes!
Here's the system minus the shirt.
I thought the sticker looked cheesy and didn't fit what the system will be used for so I sat down at the computer. Looks much better now! I know most people wont ever see this as it will be inside R2's body, but I'll know it's there and it makes me all fuzzy inside.
Here's a closeup pic of the new sticker.

Some work done...
I've gotten a little more work done. The legs are covered in bondo, just need to be sanded (again...). I've thrown together a stand to paint the legs when I'm ready for that. Just used some 2x4s that were laying around. Not pretty, but it works.
I also have my foot motor and wheels ready to go. I used the A&A Motor Holders along with a pair of E100 belt drive scooter motors. The wheels were a third party wheel that was "compatible" with the E100 belt motor. I had to do a bit of work to make them fit, but everything is nice and comfy. As soon as the legs are done R2 will be on wheels.
I'm still lost for the third leg. I have the stuff for the A&A set, but I'm confused how to set it up. the big issue in my head is the skirt. I'm thinking about using the vac formed skirt from mansugi, but that seems like it will throw off the center leg.

"Baby Steps"
My A&A stuff came in late October, but so did my baby girl. My wife gave birth to Addison on October 26! Our first child. Obviously R2 has "suffered" from this wonderful addition.
I have done some work though, the frame is up and the legs are together.
(doesn't everybody tape the skins on once the frame is done?)
